True Poker bills itself as the most "true-to-life" poker room on the Internet and this isn't an exaggeration. That's because the graphics here are outstanding and receive the highest possible marks from us. If there's one main reason to visit True Poker, it's for the experience of playing in a setting with great visual and audio dimensions, even if the actual poker itself isn't especially good, or bad. It's pretty run-of-the-mill, actually.

A word of caution: True Poker isn't a good room for beginners, as the lowest limit tables have $1-2 blinds. While that's not exorbitant, almost every other online poker room has lower-limit tables, some even as low as $0.01-0.02. On the flip side of the coin, if you're a high roller, True Poker doesn't really cater to you, either. The maximum limits are $15-30 tables, which is a low number by most standards. True Poker is a middle-of-the-road poker site that feeds off its well-earned reputation as a room with great graphics, but doesn't really offer much else. (And from our point of view, we recommend Noble Poker if you are after great graphics combined with better gaming options.)

The game selection at True Poker is below average. Hold 'Em, Omaha and Omaha Hi-Lo are the only games on offer, and with the lack of bona fide low-stakes and high-stakes tables, True Poker really comes up short here. Customer service is also a weakness. There is no live support, and the e-mail support tends to be very slow.

As far as promotions go: there are some, but we expected a lot better from True Poker. There was a $75 sign-up bonus up at 30%, but not much else. Another low score in this category. But while the promotions are quite poor, the cashouts are above average. It's usual to wait two days, normally without many problems or delays.
